We welcome gifts that help us achieve our mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. Every single gift makes a difference. Below are some frequently asked questions about giving to the American Lung Association.

Yes. The American Lung Association is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization recognized by the IRS.

Our Tax ID is: 13-1632524.

Yes. We will send you a tax receipt following each gift.

Becoming a monthly donor is easy, you can sign up online; call 1-800-LUNG-USA (1-800-586-4872) and select option 2 or email info@Lung.org.

Yes, you can change your monthly donation by calling the American Lung Association HelpLine at 1-800-LUNG-USA (1-800-586-4872) and select option 2 or emailing info@Lung.org.

Your card will be charged the same day your initial gift is received and will continue to be charged each month or quarter on that same date.

Ninety cents out of every dollar you donate goes to support our lung health research and program initiatives. You can view our financial information and annual reports on our Financial Statements page.

We are also a member of Community Health Charities, a federation of more than 60 health charities that manages its workplace giving opportunities.
