Edward D., SC

Mayo Clinic removed my left thyroid and a section of my thymus in 2017. Positive for neuroendocrine carcinoma. Had radiation and chemo as it had spread to lymph nodes.

Over the last five years the two remaining lung lymph nodes have been treated with numerous drugs. Success has been fleeting, as while nodes respond initially, after a year or so, they once again grow.

Recently, I was treated within a drug study. Again, initial results were positive but 10 months in, incremental growth was seen. I was removed from the study.
