This Sunday: 1,000+ Walkers to Put Their Best Foot Forward for Lung Health

Participants will power walk, strut, or stroll through the Cleveland Zoo

Media is invited to take a walk on the wild side this Sunday at the American Lung Association’s annual LUNG FORCE Walk at the Cleveland Zoo. The family-friendly event, locally presented by the Cleveland Clinic, provides a great opportunity for engaging video, photos and interviews with participants impacted by lung disease.  

WHO: Walkers of all fitness levels, families, and corporate teams from across Ohio

WHAT: Participants power walk, strut, or stroll along a 5k or 1-mile route at the zoo to raise awareness for lung disease and clean air. Registration for individuals and teams is free.

WHEN: Sunday, September 28, 2025, Check-in begins at 8 a.m., Walk begins at 9 a.m. (Best time for b-roll and interviews is between 9a-10:30a)

WHERE: Cleveland Zoo, 3900 Wildlife Way, Cleveland, OH 44109

WHY: More than 1.8 million people in Ohio suffer from lung disease. Funds raised from the event will support the Lung Association’s efforts to improve lung health in Ohio through research, education, and advocacy.
