$121K Raised at LUNG FORCE Walk at the Cleveland Zoo

Funds raised will help Ohioans with lung disease

This morning more than 1,000 people laced up their gym shoes for a walk on the wild side at the Cleveland Zoo. It was all part of the American Lung Association’s LUNG FORCE Walk, locally presented by the Cleveland Clinic. Walkers strolled along a 5k or shorter path to help more than 1.8 million Ohioans living with lung disease and raised over $121,000.

“This morning families, friends and corporate teams came out to celebrate lives impacted by lung disease and help find a cure for lung cancer, the number one cancer killer,” said Development Manager, Kiara Smith. “I am grateful for each walker, and spectator who joined us today and happy that together as a community, We raised over $121,000 in critical funds for the Lung Association, because if you can’t breathe, nothing else matters.”

The Lung Association looks forward to next year’s LUNG FORCE Walk and to continuing its commitment to improving lung health and preventing lung disease
