CINCINNATI, OH | June 8, 2020
The American Lung Association in Ohio and Party’n With Plants are teaming up to support lung health and COVID-19 relief efforts through a fun online fundraiser for the whole family.
For the event, participants will purchase a specialty kit and plant their own customizable terrarium tanks during a live online Facebook event on Wednesday, June 17 at 4 p.m. Twenty percent of all terrarium and fairy garden kit purchases will support the Lung Association’s LUNG FORCE initiative to unite women and men to stand together against lung cancer.
The special edition LUNG FORCE turquoise themed kit is a complete succulent terrarium kit including all the supplies necessary to plant the terrarium immediately after opening.
“Whether it’s a family night with the kids, a date night or friendly happy hour, the Party’n With Plants Turquoise Takeover is a fun way for anyone to stay connected with the people while supporting lung health from the safety of their home,” said Laura Metzler, executive director of the Lung Association.
Registrants will be fundraising to support life-saving lung disease research and the Lung Association’s COVID-19 Action Initiative; a $25 million initiative to end COVID-19 and defend against future respiratory virus pandemics. The COVID-19 Action Initiative will be used to expand the Association’s ongoing respiratory research program, enhance key public health measures, and establish an advanced network to stop future respiratory virus pandemics.
Participants are encouraged to order their Party’n With Plants kits and register before June 11 to ensure their plants will arrive in time for the live event. When checking out, select the Cincinnati Lung Association office.
